T50 gear box from AE86
This T50 gear box come with 4AG bellhouse , is take out from Japan ver AE86 , this 4AG bellhouse will fit into all 4AGE block without modify .some T50 come with 1S ,2T & other bellhouse , so made sure you bought the correct bellhouse. |
left is speed gear from T50 , right is speed sensor gear from C56
all the T50 gear box come with cable type speed gear, but I'm going to install AE111 dashboard and meter into my project car , so I need the sensor type speed sensor to trigger the AE111 speedo meter , so I'm going to modify the C56 sensor type speed gear into T50 gear box,

cut the C56 sensor gear and tap and screw in the T50 speed gear

25-11-05 after few days of driving with this C56+T50 sensor , it work well with 195/55/15 tyre

Gear box bracket
the screw hole need to drill 1/2" wider , if not can't screw into TE body. |
the bellhouse near the clutch pump hit the steering servo bracket , so I cut it a bit

cut and welding it backward 1.5" because when I shift into 1st , 3rd & 5th gear is too close to the AE111 dash penal. |
this the final look of the AE111 dashboard , look at the gear shifter is so close to the penal.

Long shaft
the top one is from 2T long shaft , the gear box join head & LSD head is same with T50 once but it is 1.5" shorter .
the centle 2 pcs long shaft is from AE86 , I'm using this now , but the centle bracket need to modify a bit .

the 2pcs long shaft install into TE71 , and work well ( 4 dec 05 went to PD drift event hit 180km top speed )
